New Agoura Hills Campus

January 2012 Update

New Campus Agoura Hills 1-20-2012

Construction began on our new campus in Agoura Hills last July.

The first step of the project was a mass grading of the building site.  The City of Agoura Hills required the Foundation to widen Agoura Road as a part of this process, so dirt removed from the hillside along the existing roadway during the grading process was used to fill low areas under our future parking lot.

All of the mass grading is now complete and underground onsite utilities and storm drains have also been installed.

In the past month, all the vertical walls of the building have been formed and poured with concrete, including the retaining walls and floor slab, so the building is finally taking shape.  The preparation for the installation of the structural steel has now begun and the actual erection process began on January 17.

By the end of the month, a major portion of the parking lot will be built, which will minimize any potential impact to the construction schedule from spring rain storms.

The maintenance building footings and storage yard area are also under construction. This compound will be shielded from view with a tall decorative garden wall at the west end of the parking lot.

Our general contractor, Matt Construction, has advised that we are currently ahead of schedule and they anticipate substantial completion by mid-November 2012.
